Fucking squatting hahahahas! They catch any decent domain and put up some piece of shit for sale page with some crazy fucking price. And what's the deal with pool.com? Don't they bother catching domains unless there is a potential auction on?

Btw, $2500 for australianaboriginalart.com is a rip. Perhaps aboriginalart.com might be worth it, but in my opinion the other version isn't.

yeah I agree from a buyer's perspective It sucks, and it does annoy me greatly when someone could be actually utilising the domain for good instead of evil.

2.5k isn't that bad.. 2500 overture searches.. and it is specific to australia as opposed to american indians and the like.. put it this way.. i've seen a lot worse for a lot more... and i guess for an ab art collector who would pay 2.5k for a painting.. that much for a domain might not really matter as much as to you or me who knows other ways to play the search engines with those keywords or otherwise get the traffic.

but yeah.. I find the whole business shady.. but it's not as if I wouldn't have done the same in their positions... they should however rent domains out like webfather. I mean why hold onto a 2.5k domain for 4 years and not sell it when you could rent it out at $20 a month or something.

Yes, I've noticed buydomains.com has been snatching up some very elite domains lately.

a few days ago on ebay peterpottypussy.com went on sale for $5,000,000 that is not a typo. 5 million for such a stupid name. they claimed it was easy to remember

Yeah, I guess anyone would likely do it if they were in their position. However, it is a bit obsessive to say the least. I went for a .org domain which would be very related to an offline business I am taking over (however not that useful to 99% of people). I backordered it days ago with pool.com, and I wake up this morning to find buydomains got it. Damn annoying.

By the way, I sell legitimate aboriginal art. $4000 a piece :Graucho

Yep, I had some nice plans for the domain, but I don't plan on buying it off these wankers. I will try and get a price though, just to see how much they want, and I will post it in here. btw, how about I visit redfern and see what I can do. :winkwink:

Oh, and it seems I have now missed ouit on 5 domains with pool.com. www.proxy.org was caught by some other service just today. I know they don't promise to catch domains, but not one auction even yet sucks.
