just kiddin. nothing here. Here's my story:

I paid for his services once. I got what I wanted. It was good quality. It took a little longer than I expected and that was my only problem with him.

Obviously there are others who have had problems with him.

Is it necessary to go to the boards? How does one distinguish between a true disgruntled bunch and a smear campaign?

Sure, you paid him and got what you paid for. We all understand that, your post could have been 8 words long.

Please show us an example of the work that he "did," more like "provided," for you. It would be nice to try to identify the designer and see if that person is one of the ones who Hungryman decided to not pay for their time and effort.

Glass, you gotta read past the first sentence sometimes, and if you don't think you have a complete understanding, then re-read the entire post. It isn't that this guy is paid by someone and then doesn't deliver. He does. It's that he has no skills and plays a middle man.. takes money, goes somewhere else to get the work done, and then delivers the work. Somewhere in there, however, he has consistantly and repeatedly "forgotten" to pay the designer that he went to to get the work done.

As a client of hungryman, you have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. This whole thing has been going on for years, literally.

Hungryman is nothing more than a liar and a thief.

Easy. If there are a half dozen drama threads on message boards about the person then chances are you are better off steering clear. Of course there will be some satisfied customers, if there wasn't he wouldn't have any income at all.

It's too bad there wasn't an easier way to spot the scammers.

Some of the people running these adult messageboards should come up with an ebay-like rating system for people that do business on the boards.

You could tell people you are "GFY approved", and show them all the happy customers that left positive feedback for you in your GFY profile.

A disgruntled bunch would be clients bitching about late delivery, excess change requests, lack of skill things of that nature.

A smear campaign, would be if these allegations were false, and that they were being brought up simply to smear the guy's name etc...

Well, considering the names of those who have come forward, one must weigh the reputation of the designers who were not paid, vs the guy who delivered the work.

I do not see how you can consider this a smear campaign or a group of disgruntled folks.

CD Smith is trying to get SOMEONE ELSES MONEY from Hungry. He isn't even fighting for his own cause, Its for someone else. Why would he be lying? Why would CD SMith, who conducts REAL BUSINESS WITH many around here lie and make up things about some broke webmaster that has a bad rep?

Bhutocracy is a well known designer himself, working for HIMSELF. He was apparoched for outsource work, the same way I was, as well as more people I know. He was offered good money to do jobs, consistent work etc.

All Hungry has to do is find people like you. Get 500 bucks from you, get a designer to design it for 250 and he made 250.

Problem is as mentioned Hungryman has not paid quite a few people.

Are you trying to say, that Paul's rep is valued more than people who do busines regularly here? And who are known? Hungry was outed, he does not post regulalry and acquire work, although he may lurk and conduct icq business of course he does.

GFY is his nest.

It is unfortunate, that you side with a well established crook over some of the long term, HONEST businessmen of this board.

They have also shown or provided proof or strong rebuttal to many if not all of Hungryman's arguments, thus repeatedly showing him to be in error in his thinking, if not an outright lier in some instances.



Therefore your so-called 'confusion' does nothing more than baffle me. Maybe instead of starting new threads attempting to confuse people further you should go back and read what people have written and figure it out.


And who ARE you anyway? If you are someone who has paid for designs in the past, why do you not recognize some of the most respected designers in our community? They have no reason to lie, we're talking about a few hundred or a couple of thousand apeice at most being owed to them.... it's about the principle of being ripped off.

CD and fletch, I was trying to get away from reading threads that have hundreds of responses. I don't have the time, I dont think anyone does. You guy don't have a good attitude toward someone like me who wants a quick answer. Obviously, there is NOT a quick way to find proof. It takes time to read, which most people don't have. I guess that's why this unfortunate thing has gone on for 2 years. So to answer my first question...it takes alot of time to read a bunch of posts, do a bunch of research, then come to the conclusion that Hungryman is not someone in which to employ services, aside from the fact that his ex-help have bad attitudes toward people wanting information.
