It was just him, his swiss army knife and the environment. That's all... and he overcame the odds.

He didn't have no talking car, or team of angels or big black guy pitying no fools.

He'd figure out a way to defeat any of them with his handy pocket knife and still give his trademark smile at the end of the show.

Sure he got laid, plenty of episodes were about a hot girl.. he just usually saved it until after the credits rolled.

Unless of course the girl turned out to be a double agent just out to get him... which was like, 80% of the time. But even then, he'd still get a little action.

It was just a cleaner show... that's what made women like Patty and Selma love him.

Yeah he was the shit, but he couldnt dodge bullets, his enemies just never bothered to walk up to him and shoot him in the head when he was tied up. Same thing with the Adam West Batman.

I have to agree with candyflip, greatest american hero was the bomb. He was such a clusterfuck.

Hmm... considering all the love interests he had on the show... I'd argue it.

However, it truly doesn't make a difference either which way, because like I said, the guy can take on a car, helicopter and BadAss black guy if he wanted to... that makes him a tough guy, gay or not.

i had seen Mc Guyver do some movie, he had a beard and played the bad guy.. was funny to see him switch roles.

MacGyver is one of my favorite shows. It's just fucking awesome. Hopefully they'll start releasing the seasons on DVD.
