So what do people think about today's FCC indecency ruling?
Link to story...
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...s_indecency_dc EXCERPT: "The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday overwhelmingly approved legislation imposing sharply higher fines on television and radio broadcasters who violate indecency limits...a top government official and several lawmakers also questioned whether the bills violate free speech rights. The House bill, approved 391-22, would give the Federal Communications Commission (news - web sites) the authority to fine broadcasters as much as $500,000 per violation and apply large penalties against on-air personalities who willfully break the rules." Does it affect the adult internet biz at all? Does running a website qualify as "broadcasting"? Anyone? |
it's only a matter of time before they come after us i guess...hope not though

$500K is a lot of cash just for saying a curse word on the radio. I mean, what would the fine be for bangbus.com? |
