Airport Security
 

Just letting everyone know about the little trip my friend took, and how he got through with a boxcutter.

My friend went to Miami for a week, and when he arrived there, he noticed that inside the front zipper of his backpack that he used for carry-on luggage, there was a 9-inch metal boxcutter that he had forgotten to take out.

Mind you, we live in NYC and he not only used JFK Airport, but American Airlines as well. He said he went through all sorts of scanning and X-Raying machines, with guards that used manual metal detectors on everything as well, yet somehow, he still managed to get through. The best part about it all, is that he came back, with the boxcutter still in his backpack, just to see if perhaps the first time around was a fluke. Sure enough, he was passed along with no problems, except that they took away his lighter, but let him keep the matches.

Gotta love the fact that our tax dollars are being spent by the billions on "airport security". What a fucking joke..
