Bertuzzi apology

he is crying, and said he did not "mean to hurt him."

How fucking dumb does he think we are? He grabbed and held the back of his jersey with his left hand, and came across with a right hook from behind.

what was he doing, brushing some lint off his face or something?

bdld 03-11-2004 03:24 PM

hope he gets jail time that was definately premeditated

ColBigBalls 03-11-2004 03:28 PM

there needs to be a punishmrnt yes... but cmon yes he was hurt but if he went right up to his face and decked em it would be a diffrent case. i think it should be kept in the league. I dont see the criminal aspect:2 cents:

Roger 03-11-2004 03:32 PM

I don't see the criminal aspect either. Heck, it's much worst when the guy purposedly throws the ball right at the batter during a baseball game.

What he meant was that he didn't mean to broken the guys neck and put him out for the season. Of course he meant to inflect some hurt on Moore when he punched him from behind but he didn't intend to hurt him to the extend that he did.

a check is a part of hockey, assault is not. . . . he drtopped his stick with the intent of assaulting him, it had nothing to do with hockey

He did not mean to hurt him that much. Do you really think he meant to send him to the hospital with a serious injury?

yes . . . he may not have meant to break his neck, but I am sure he did not mind sending him to the hospital

yes... but if he had skated up to his face it would have been a good ol hockey fight.. its because he did it from behind. Also what if he hadent been hurt. Should that make his punisment any less...?

TweetyBird 03-11-2004 03:38 PM

I doubt that, I think a really really thin minority of dumbfucks players would actually "mean" to send another player to the hospital

I agree he wasn't trying to break the guys neck and send him to the hospital and I believe he was sincere in his apology. However, saying that he didn't mean to hurt the guy is just pure bs as it was clear he was retaliating and meant to cause the guy some physical pain. I think the punch was one thing, but driving the guy's head into the ice just confirmed that he was trying to send a message and hurt him somewhat.

BradM 03-11-2004 03:38 PM

Only cum dumpster that would intend to kill someone on the ice is Marty Mcsorely.

I am sure if he had not broken his neck he would have just had a 2 minute sit in the penalty box

I think he was sincere that he did not intend on getting suspended for the rest of the season

Like I said before...what he means is that he did NOT intend to hurt him as baddy as he did...get that through your head

CDSmith 03-11-2004 03:44 PM

No criminal charges, keep it in the game. The league has suspended him, his season is over as of now. Hopefully he'll keep his clubs in check on the fucking golf course.

Now one of the best players from the Manitoba Moose will be pulled from the team to go take Bertuzzi's place, leaving our team that much more weakened. This fucker may not get jail time but he needs to be taken out back and beaten for that alone.

why doesn't he say what he means instead of leaving it up to you to translate for him?

Rich 03-11-2004 03:48 PM

What a bunch of pussies we've all become, this guy has to cry to get out of jailtime. This clown Moore injured Naslund with a cheap shot, of coarse Bertuzzi's going to ram his head into the fucking ice. Seems reasonable to me. I don't wish a neck injury on anyone but hell, he should've learned to fall. Too bad some goon couldn't have done it, loosing him for the playoffs sucks.

Don't fuck with the Canucks, bitches.

hahaha, I agree with you there. Good thing we've only got a couple years to wait for the return of the Jets, the past 2 since I moved here has sucked without an NHL team. This is such a hockey town.

fuzebox 03-11-2004 03:53 PM

I know why he was crying...

It always sucks when you have to apologize to someone when you don't mean it.

kimzar 03-11-2004 03:58 PM

he's just sorry that he got suspened

Roger 03-11-2004 03:58 PM

I remember when I was a teenager I used to get into some fights and everytime I felt really awfull afterwards for hurting the guy. Sometimes I even appologized.

SexxxyChat-T 03-11-2004 04:00 PM

Bertuzzi is a pussy for pulling that shit on the ice, but it's plain to see he didn't mean for it to go as far as it did, its a freak accident.

He's already been chewed up by the league and nailed with hefty fines and a serious suspension. And I don't doubt that his team is chewing his ass out as well.

No need for criminal charges, it's hockey.

That would be more believable if he had a history of this sort of thing but he doesn't. He has never be been a dirty player.

The part I forgot to mention: Bertuzzi will lose a reported half a million dollars in lost wages over this issue, as reported yesterday on the newscast I tuned into.

He has been suspended for 10 games before for leaving the bench to fight

CDSmith 03-12-2004 06:52 AM

Hockey's a rough game. Shit happens. People stand up and cheer and all but cum in their pants when huge fights break out, especially if there is a bench-clearing brawl. Cheap shots happen all the time. If you want to clean up the sport I don't recommend making this guy a scapegoat by putting him in jail.... the suspension and fines are what other players have gotten for doing this sort of thing.

The league owners make money from the violence. I doubt they are going to take this beyond their own disciplinary measures. The hit was completely dirty, yes..... but if you think there wasn't encouragement on the bench to "get that fucker" you've obviously never played the game or sat on a bench during a game.
