If you have nothing to back up important claims, then there's no need to start a new thread about it.

I'm the first one who said it was Al-Qaeda but I just don't post it as fact. There's nothing on cnn.com or news.google.com that about Al-Qaeda claiming responsibility yet.
I ain't watchin TV.

Okay watching TV now. Not a single channel is talking about Spain, it's like the whole thing didn't happen. CNN is talking about Kerry.

sexsup 03-11-2004 02:20 PM

I think it's Al-Qaeda cos it's incredible that there is this kind of people around in Europe

Ironhorse 03-11-2004 02:27 PM

Although it's improbable that the independence movement ETA has anything to do with these bombings, what do you base your Al Queda information on? Nothing in the news says anything about a claim

Edit: ok found it in header on CNN:

Quote:

London newspaper says it received e-mail from al Qaeda-affiliated group claiming responsibility for Madrid bombings. Details soon.

Doctor Dre 03-11-2004 02:37 PM

No proof yet ... and I don't think they have something to do in spain ...

You are such an idiot....:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Cliff notes:

Quote:

The attack - Spain's deadliest terrorist bombing - was blamed by Spanish authorities on the Basque separatist group Eta. It comes ahead of a general election on Sunday.

...

The interior ministry said the explosives were all of a type used by Eta.

....

Mr Acebes said he had "no doubt" that Eta were responsible. "Eta had been looking for a massacre in Spain. Unfortunately, today it achieved its goal," he told reporters.

...

He said the interception of two suspected Eta members driving a 500kg bomb to Madrid at the end of last month and a thwarted bomb attack on Chamartín station, another main rail terminal in the city, on Christmas Eve was evidence of its intentions.

...
If Eta is responsible, today's bombs will be its deadliest attack since the deaths of 21 people in the 1987 bombing of a Barcelona supermarket.

No, intelligent people are neither with us or against us. They investigate and think for themselves. That is obviously not a trait of the republicans or the democrats.
