Are these available in the wild yet? Anyone got one?

Although I would prefer compact and "LCD viewfinder" I was leaning towards the 300D (AKA "Digital Rebel" SLR) rather than the G5... but the Pro1 is about the same RRP as the 300D and it looks like it could be a goer.

Any comments? :)

3264 x 2448 in "Large" mode

I just did a photo quality A4 print of a test shot and it looks superb.

What also caught my eye is 640x480 movie mode. It's still only 15FPS but it's a big step up from tiny 320x240 if you ever want to view it on a TV screen.

Stuff it, I found a place that has a 300D SLR in stock below RRP, and they can do 12 months interest free with 1/3 deposit. I'll have it in my hands within a couple of hours. :glugglug

The Pro1 looks like a very nice camera, but it seems that its 8MP doesn't really compare so well with the 300D's 5MP. I'd prefer quality rather than higher numbers.
