Yes he does. I saw a show on that also. It makes complete sense. He only plays to have fun and waste time when he goes. Either way, win or lose at the big or small tables, it would mean nothing to him.

So there is no point, for him to be considered a "high roller" in his own mind he would have to bet min of $1billion and no casino can pay that out.

Someone once figured out that the amount of money Gates makes a year makes it not worthwhile to waste the time picking up a dollar bill blowing in the wind as he would have made like five dollars in that timeframe. :1orglaugh

The problem with those calculations is that they forget to take into account that even while Bill Gates is bending over to pick up the dollar he's still making money at the same rate.

So no matter what he does, it's always worth it to pick up the dollar. Which is why he uses coupons when he goes to the Grocery store. (that's also true)

He obviously doesn't play to make money, because even if he wins big, it's not going to matter. Probably figures that if he's going to lose money, he may as well not be giving the big bucks to a casino.

The rules become different when you ARE the biggest dog on the planet.

He has no one he needs to impress, and like it has been said, a million dollar win to him is actually no different than the average person finding a penny in the street.

Although if the Walmart Waltons had not broken up the family fortune among a bunch of them they have double Gates' money in todays dollars.
