Fort Apache - Paul Newman
 

Anyone else like this movie? It's an oldie from 1981 but one of the best paul newman movies made. I just saw this movie last night and had to watch it for a second time today.


If anyone remembers how the bronx was back in the early 80's, this movie is dead on. Funny thing is the south bronx is worse nowadays then it was portrayed in the movie.

If you?re a paul newman fan go rent this movie.

I don't know man. I would have to disagree with you. I grew up in Da Bronx back in the 70's, 80's. It was a lot worse back then bro. A LOT WORSE.

At least, we didn't see houses in the south bronx back then. Just burned out abandoned buildings. Now, there are areas in the South Bronx that have homes constructed.

Yea the projects are gone. What I should have said was the crime rate. The south bronx nowadays is a very dangerous place to live. Crime is worse there now I think then in the 80's.

I grew up brooklyn all my life, and that's nothing compared to the south bronx. I used to drive home a kid to the south bronx who used to work for me, I have never felt more unsafe in my life then I have in the bronx. The murder and rape alone in the south bronx beats out any borough in NY.

Never seen that one. I liked the really old one with John Wayne and Shirley Temple that's part of a trilogy though.

Good movie - and yes, the South Bronx sucked. I bet it still sucks. Luckily, I didn't spend much time there at all, so my all time personal hell hole has to be Bed Stuy.
