How can I see if its set up this way?
logging and disabling persistent connections are disabled

For logging you can usually tell via :

ps auxww

If you have the --log flag then you are logging. Or cd to your data directory and look for your_hostname.log.

But in all likelyhood you dont have it turned on, otherwise without rotation you would be out of space fairly quickly.

I never seen them guys in my life but I keep experiencing strange de ja vu's today.

Started around 9AM and I answered the phone twice...
