VISA and Mastercard gift cards used to buy porn
 

I saw a ton of these after Christmas this year, it seems every kid in America got at least one of these. My question is, do they work on porn sites? I don't know why they wouldn't since they work at any and all retail stores I have tried them at.

This gives kids a way to access paysites...in the past, a credit card somewhat verify that we were dealing with an adult (or in rare cases a kid that stole a credit card, I suppose). Now, half the kids in America have prepaid credit cards from grandma.

Well, if they do work, just means kids can take a break from the tgp's and mgp's and hit a few paysites. I really dont think it will corrupt them anymore than the internet has already.

maybe i should use them on porn sites. that way my credit card doesn't get tripple billed. or charged on a sporadic basis.

Yah, that would work. Hmm. Maybe I should start using prepaid cards for everything I buy online. That way if my card number is stolen, I don't get fucked.

If a kid has a debit card, it's only because they have a job and their parents co-signed for the account. Pretty rare in my experience...maybe a small percentage of 16 and 17 year olds have bank accounts with debit cards. If they have good parents, they are checking their monthly statements though.

You can be as young as 16 and get a credit card. I can't see a gift card being given to a kid younger than that. But it probably does happen.

Kids get porn for free now. A credit card isn't gonna change anything.

I'm in retail, thousands of kids under the age of 16 came into my stores with these cards after Christmas. I'd say about 95% of my customers had them. They were hugely popular this Christmas. The Simon gift card was the one I saw the most, I didn't even realize you could use it outside the Simon malls but it works anywhere that accepts VISA.

I got 3 of these cards myself at Christmas. One was a Mastercard my brother gave me that was from his bank and could be used anywhere.

Im sure im not the only person who's realized that kids can find porn on the internet.

If my parents tried to see my monthly statements I would have bitchslapped them. I knew at least 20 people in my high school that had their own debit cards as well.

That blows my mind that there are so many kids with these gift cards. It's kinda like Visa is training the kids on how to use Visa before they are old enough to get one for themselves.

i can remember getting "cards" for local record stores and shit, its just a more global network now.

instead of having to go to that ONE STORE, cards can be used anywhere.

In my 5 years in retail, I don't think I've had one 16 year old customer with a debit card, and my business caters to kids. It's not as common as you would think...or if they have them...they just use them at the ATM and pay with cash because I don't see them.

in europe you'll see many kids having debit cards. They use visa electron to take money from the atm machines. Cards also can be used for most online transactions.

Lets just lower the legal age for porn to 16. Not going to 'corrupt' them any worse then a 18 year old and it solves most of these problems.
