Ya 75euro a pop does sound kinda fishy. Couldn't convert their sites at all.

bluelevelnick 03-09-2004 07:42 AM

the other question is: what if you pay something in ? ? like your webhost?
is that an option for you guys?

would you do buy something in Euros if the offer is gorgeous?

I wonder 'cause it is very very complicated for an European company to switch all the payment into $.

but why should we offer good stuff for $ webmasters if they don't buy it 'cause they don't like bills in Euros...:(

euro it's rulez!

The Euro is a lot stronger than the dollar right now, and I'd like to get payed in Euros. But that would only make any difference if sites started charging in Euros, and I am sure that would cause a lot of chargebacks from American customers that all of a sudden see a $60 on ther CC statement, instead of the ?40 on the website. They'd claim confusion and over charging and stuff.

Maybe use geo targetting to charge Europen customers in Euros, and Americans in $

That would work, except that you would find only a VERY small percentage of your customers using credit cards from the EU.

The way the dollar is going I would be happy taking anything else. :1orglaugh

that is exactly the idea.

and I agree - U.S. users can't be billed in Euros.

but what about webmasters. an example:

you get an extremly handsome and cheap content from an European provider and he bills you in Euro twice a month - is the ? sign on your bill a problem or not?
are WEBMASTERS scared as users are?

our system is based on ? 'cause we are an European company.

I've spoken to some other ppl but we had no idea if the majority of webmasters are like the users they serve...
