look for remote desktop software

I need some remote desktop software that lets to me connect to another computer and manage it from anywhere. The MAIN feature I need, is that it needs to be able to switch between Users in Windows XP.

Any recommendations?

tried gotomypc, cant run the program more than once, so i cant switch between users on Windows

Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Remote Desktop

Then you enter in the hostname or IP of the desktop machine, if that machine allows users to remote desktop to it, it will prompt you for a username and password.

After connecting if you want to switch usernames just Start -> Log Off User then reconnect.

The one thing I forgot to mention is that at times initiating new connections closes ICQ completely if its running on the users desktop, never quite figured out why that would occur.

cant you do it for free with windows xp?

otherwise Pcanywhere or Timbuktu

stephanie m. 03-09-2004 12:19 AM

You want VNC! its free and better than pcanywhere and gotomypc.

www.radmin.com cant get much better than that.... gives you COMPLETE control of the remote system
