Ways to Help Reduce Bad Check Sign ups...
I'm seriously thinking of doing this more often...
CCBill has an option that you can turn on. It makes anyone signup using a check enter a valid email address that must be verified before the order will go through. This gives me a nice tool to work with... I've emailed a few bad check writers recently letting them know that I will soon be starting a section on my message board that lists all bad check writers. As much info as I have about them will be publicly posted. Then I'll make numerous links from all of my websites to the message board thread. While I've emailed a few bad check writers with a warning about this, I haven't ACTUALLY started the message board thread yet, but I'm seriously considering it. What do you think? |
What are you waiting for?

I forgot... this board has absolutely no use for discussing real business issues. What was I thinking? Carry on.

Sounds like a good idea. Just threatening will probably take care of a lot of your bad check writers. Good luck with it if you try it.

Hit me up on ICQ I might have a solution for you...

it's not likely that a internet message board would scare the general surfer (it's not like anyone they know will see it)... maybe you would be better off telling them you will file charges aginst them for fraud, as writing bad checks is aginst the law.. That and tell them you will share their info with other webmasters as part of a blacklist to block access to other sites.

Hi Donovan
Alot of clients are using our new product client confirm for this very purpose - to filter your check joins. It's enabled them to start paying their affiliates on check joins again Check out http://www.clientconfirm.com for a demo and i'm here for any questions you might have thanks Steve |
The vast majoriity of online check frauds sure don't use their own accounts. So you'd mostly post names of fraud victims . Calls for trouble imo.

Why don't you use a check processor instead?
