My partner Marc is a badass. The new pricing system he built on CJ Traffic is comprehensive as hell and even automatically gives you discounts: You can find it here

He's leaving on April 3rd because his birthday is on the first (God's April's Fools joke on the world) and he'll need 2 days to recover.

If you are in the Atlanta area, it'll be a party you won't want to miss.

Glass Fantasy 03-08-2004 05:44 PM

Paul? damn. he's in a league of his own. I could never capture his essence, not even for a minute.

Kimmykim 03-08-2004 06:35 PM

Ask him how his ass feels after that broom went to it at Cameron Saturday night...

grumpy 03-08-2004 06:40 PM

I dont understand that pricelist. If its true that a links brings in 10707 and it cost 4400 why the hell would you sell that spot. Please explain.

Lykos 03-08-2004 06:43 PM

Sounds nice:thumbsup

It would bring in that amount if those assumptions were correct. Marc could explain this better but I'll do my best now.

You can alter the numbers to change the mathematical assumptions based on joins, click through rates, etc.

The bottom line is that if you want to buy traffic then send it to sponsors you won't make more than we do because we know our traffic better than you. But if you own your own paysites and/or product sites you'll keep all the money and you will make more than we do if your banners get clicked on, your tours convert and your member's area rebills.

We have a lot of traffic and we can't send it all to our own sites. We need to promote 1000 sites a month so if we only own 10 sites than that leaves a lot for sale. We send to sponsors on an affiliate basis what we haven't sold leaving the rest for sale on a retail basis.

If you want the traffic, use the calculators with conservative assumptions to determine what is best for you or what isn't.

I hope I've answered your questions.

I'm not quite sure but Marc will answer that question as soon as he checks this thread. I think he may be at the Primus concert tonight.

FreakHole.com is getting around 225,000 unique visitors every month and climbing rapidly. We bought the site a few months ago and got it running on the same engine that runs CJ and SteakandCheese last month. The code is far superior and the site is now twice as fast and twice as stable.

Huh? Brooms in asses? Elaborate, please.

Giorgio_Xo 03-09-2004 08:54 AM

Would you guy sell or license your platform.

KraZ 03-09-2004 08:57 AM

I find all these fields a bit overwhelming.

Rick pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. Our pricing model is not geared toward people looking to send traffic to other sponsor programs. Those people will have a a damn hard time making a profit for two reasons. First, we've got Ryan Hogrefe. His full-time job for the last 2.5 years is to maximize the value of any traffic I don't sell by sending it to the best programs for our traffic. Second, because we send such a high volume of traffic to these programs, we're going to get a higher payout than the average joe.

Our pricing is very profitable if you're the site owner and you run quality sites while maximizing your revenue. It's simply really. You can make more money off our traffic than we can as an affiliate. The traffic is yours to get every cent out of it. All the things that you wouldn't pay us on as an affiliate: all the rebills, cross-sells, all exit consoles, international dialer revenue, email collection, adware installs, etc, etc, etc.

Credit where credit is due. I'm a bad-ass at excel. I made this in excel and anyone that wants a copy of it, just hit me up on ICQ. Brant, our designer is the bad-ass here. He took all the calculations in my excel file (for example : =IF($F$59>0,((D30*B19/$C$57*$F$59)+(D38*B19/$F$57*$F$59)+(D47*B19/$G$57)+(D53*B19/$H$57*$F$59)),((D30*B19/$C$57)+(D38*B19/$F$57)+(D47*B19/$G$57)+(D53*B19/$H$57))) ) and figured out how to do them all in hahahahahahahahahaha.

Actually not really. It seldom varies more than 15%. What you're probably seeing is that instead of requiring someone to buy 2 or 4 weeks of a spot, I've got everything down to a unit price now. So if it's a text link, banner spot, or pop-under, all the pricing is on a single week. Instead of pricing on 3 Video Sponsorships, it's just a single spot.

Which platform are you referring to? The traffic-selling platform? I'm currently working on a project w/ several other CJ-esque sites where I take over selling their ads. Is that what you mean?

Well, it's for those that want to crunch numbers. If it's a bit much, just look at the clicks and the price.

I can email you a condensed version in Excel if you'd like. Just hit me up on ICQ.

zentz 03-09-2004 09:57 AM

SHIT, thanks for catching that Ryan! I meant 225K a DAY, not a month.
