I got my first hun listing comming up in the next month. I was wondering around how many hits the gallery will get ? Any ideas ?

last time I was listed it was about 100.000 first day, don't remember after that.... it's been a while

depends on the size of your gallery and what position your listed on

50 gigs of transfer? is it a movie gallery or a pic gallery?

there are a lot of variables, but im thinking you will use 20-30 gigs on the first day.

Don't get to exited... remeber he has lots of freeloaders that bookmarked him because he offers more pics than the average paysite:winkwink:

once...60 GB. 15 pics around 120 kb each(not thumbs lol).

Don't count those $ yet. There are those that paid the bandwidth and got nothing.

How many hits depends on page position etc.

50 gigs is typically not enough and is bandwidth caped etc. Assume, you were saying 50 gigs of transfer per month? You've implied shared hosting.

How many hits on pics will you have, how big are they? A call to your host is in order.

Congrats on the listing. Make sure you cover your bases, before it hits.

True, I'll look at it as an experiment, see what happens. Hopefully it is profitable.

i haven't submitted to him in almost a year now, and still have several pages in his backlog. and still sending traffic. not to mention other sites that stole them from him. so it tends to last a while too.

made the gallery and submitted it on a whim. then I got the acceptance email a couple of weeks later. didnt really think about it before doing it.

If you serious, get your own server. You prolly have time. most providers can get you up same day or next. Then a couple days for DNS. You can move your data waiting on the DNS update.

Make it seamless - assume you know about that.

Even if you don't conversions from the hun, think about the traffic to feed your trades :drinkup

Just checked the overage info on my account, its $1.25 / Gb for anything past 50Gb. It gets worse, I just noticed that Im currently using a little over a gig a day. That only leaves me with around 20 Gig overhead which isnt enough for the hun. Think I'll get into the 100 Gb plan

If you think your pics are too heavy - Try emailing the Hun to explain the situation and ask him if you can optimise them - Never change a gallery after submitting unless you speak to the tgp sites first - Quickest way to get on their blacklist.

I'd rather take the bandwidth hit, and just upgrade. How often will the hun list new galleries for people ? I read he likes to spread the listings around , and not use the same people all the time.

anyway a Hun listing is a real opportunity to see what you bring to the table in galleries. i know i really like getting a gallery on there.

Ive got no design skills at all, but I was lookin at what gets listed, and alot of it is just plain straight forward galleries. So I made one up in a couple of minutes and sent it his way. I thought for sure it got rejected, then came the email :)

Really depends on where on the list your gallery falls. Also if he gives you a favorable descriptions which can be hit and miss.

But needless to say it will be a lot.

lets hope its not this weekend sometime, I dont think webair does anything on the weekends.

50 gigs might be enough, depending on the picture sizes.
