In response to the Howard Stern Thread

I posted this in another thread but since i really went off on a tangent i felt it needed it's own thread cuz their is some damn good stuff in it

If i remember correctly last year the federal government deregulated and eased up the antitrust safeguards that were in place to keep a few companies from monopolizing the radiowaves.
This allowed a few comopanies to really buy up what they didnt already own in most cities.
I'll bet this was the first step in allowing goverment pressure to be applied for this type of thing and have it actually be effective...we gotta get this guy outta the whitehouse...
And the scarey thing is that bush has $150 million for campaigning that he hasnt even touched yet...within a few months bush is going to be everywhere..all forms of media will be telling us what a great guy he is and we will all believe it because that's what we do...we are fed things over and over until we belive them..or like the message they are telling us..whether it's playing us a pop song that we hated the first time we heard it and then a month later after it's been driven into us by repeat playing we own the cd...or if it's a polical candidate we dont like that after repeatedly being told that he is great..we end up voting for the bastard...
We have to keep the facts clear in our heads about the current administration before the media blitz/brainwashing starts..becuase it's going to be the most convincing in history.
no one has ever had 150 mill for this..and he hasnt even started rasing money yet

That is politics at it's best and they are professionals, but Bush is not good for porn.

If Bush get re-elected I'm going to seriously reconsider my moving out of the country.

As far as ClearChannel is concerned they also own part of or all of the major concert venues, as well as a large stake in XM radio. That's on top of being the largest station owner there is and growing. As the regulations relax they are looking to buy more right now and consolidate even more. And yes they are tied in with elected officals as are most of the major corporations.

I'm totally against King George but you forget Kerry said that what ClearChannel did was alright too and if he was in office they would have their hands on him just the same. So it's really not about one elected official it's more about special interest owning our government if anything and that applies to both parties equally.

it's fucking scary what's going on. and the most ridiculous looking people right now are pornographers who are Republicans.

hold your nose if you have to but in November u better vote Kerry or you're basically voting to have you or your friends put in jail and voting for the end of free speech as we know it.

how limited can somebody's mind be that they can only vote one way like robots - life is never that simple - there are times when a vote for the Democrats is wrong and a time when a vote for the Republicans is wrong. The Republican party has been hijacked by the American Taliban. Stop it before it stops you.

ya..dont get me wrong i'm not convinced any other politician who gets in office would do anything differently...but the thing is we KNOW what this guy will do...at least with someone else things like what we do for a living might have a glimmer of hope that maybe they will do things differently in terms of the "indecency" that is plaguing country

lesser of two evils. Kerry's fucking afraid too to tell these religious wackos to fuck off.

i think CBS and Janet Jackson should pay a price - that was a premedidated stupid act they pulled in front of the largest audience possible of families including children.

But Howard Stern and porn sites - nobody is inviting kids or adult to those - neither Howard Stern or porn sites want kids. The Super Bowl does.

angelsofporn 03-06-2004 11:35 PM

i just want people to remember the way the feel now 7 months down the road when it;s time to cast a ballot.
Bush will catch or kill Bin Laden...that is going to be a big swaying point for alot of "on the fencers" who would have voted democrat

"I think George Bush and his administration has stepped over the line of separation of church and state," Kerry said at Hopkinton High School. "All through our history we have drawn that line," Kerry said. "And I will continue to draw that line."

On the subject of religion, he believes that presidents should "recognize the diversity of faiths and even of agnosticism and atheism," and he takes the politically risky stance of admitting to a "questioning, agnostic stage" after his experience in Vietnam.

"I will vigorously protect the separation of church and state. Diversity, freedom of choice and freedom of religion are among the defining characteristics of our nation. I believe we can be people of faith while respecting the principles that are enshrined in our Constitution."

"I think that it's important to not have the church instructing politicians.
That is an inappropriate crossing of the line in America.".
