Dale Carnegie training

I just starting taking Dale Carnnegie Training I must admit it's exciting to be back in class. It's been a while

Has anyone here taken the training and if so what did you get out of it?

Or have you taken any other courses/training similar to it and did it help improve your business skills and or personal life etc?

Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do.
Dale Carnegie

Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes furthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.
Dale Carnegie

When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bustling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity.
Dale Carnegie

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.

How to Win Friends and Influence People changed my life.

Roger,

I took that course 10 years ago. It's worth it if you have never done anything like that before. There are many choices out there.

I prefer to go straight for the courses on specific skill sets like negotiating, etc. but this is a good overall course.

It should be required reading for everyone.

I listen to it on audiobook every few months as a refresher. It works!

Roger,

You are taking this in Tampa?

Yes, and I'm serious. It totally changes your outlook on things. I have recommended it to many people and I really should read it again soon.

Sharky 03-06-2004 07:36 PM

Dale Carnegie, Napolean Hill (Think & Grow Rich), Edward De Bono (Lateral Thinking), Mind Power I have a library full! :thumbsup

The mind and how we can positively utilise it is something I am very passionate about. I used to train sales and marketing people and I have been to many courses on body language, meta language, neuro linguistic programming, interpersonal communication etc..

I believe it is our attitude at the beginning of any undertaking that determines success or failure.

As far as personal development goes, I'm also a huge fan of Anthony Robbins, he's just the man.
