What's your usual gallery CTR?
 

I'm trying out the gallery game and my first run has had a disappointing CTR. About 0.6-1% every time I check it. What's your average CTR and do you have any tips? Maybe my gallery sucks or I'm not using a high pulling sponsor(epic mail), etc.

I've hired a ton of designers, and the average CTR I get from them is 0.5% - 1.5%. I've got some templates that have pulled 11% when it was fresh then dropped down to below 2% within a week of over saturation and then I've got some that pull a steady 4.5%.

Back in 2001 my CTRs were like 2-2.5%.
Time passes, surfer expresses less interest to the ads, so its going lower and lower each day. :glugglug

OK so maybe my template I ran yesterday was just "average quality".

So maybe the best way of going about it is trying to get some free traffic to the gallery, test out the CTR and if it all goes well then buy some spots?

Your galls are not terrible but they are VERY generic. The sponsor isn't directly related to the content either... and the sponsor is not the normal porn site and that needs to be your focus in the gall.

Bigger text... diff. color text to pop the key words.

etc.. etc..

True I don't expect to get the CTR to hot local escorts and red personals I would with a site targetted to the content, but I was counting on a decent amount of rebills as they've retained very well for me in the past.

I'm going to run a her first gang bang gallery soon, hopefully that pulls alot of clicks.
