Fuck, I gotta admit its pretty good.. I could prolly do it though :) How long did it take her?

asuna 03-06-2004 01:10 AM

impressive, she really drew it or use some sort of photoshop plugin?

xenigo 03-06-2004 01:10 AM

Now why would you draw a model in there, when you could have a real model in the picture instead? :2 cents:

psyko514 03-06-2004 01:10 AM

fucking impressive.

that's some nice talent.

Ironhorse 03-06-2004 01:12 AM

That looks like a Photoshop job :2 cents: and not a very good one, sorry

SMG 03-06-2004 01:13 AM

acctman 03-06-2004 01:13 AM

After re-reading it, looks like I thought the original was the drawing. LOL Looks like she used some kind of a photoshop plugin to render it to look like a drawing... not tough.

Nope, it's not an M3. M3's have quad pipes, and they're two doors. That's the 4 door car you're looking at.

Mutt 03-06-2004 01:19 AM

it's alot harder than you think - that was not a Photoshop plugin job.

not sure exactly what he did but it was alot more work than some plugin or some filters.

it's a quasi vector style artwork, but looks more like a 3D model.

interesting.

Ash@phpFX 03-06-2004 01:20 AM

is thats done without a plugin i am impressed

look at both pictures it's not an exact replica. example licenses plates, hamann logo, paris (the model) tow hook and trunk lock. no ps plugins were used at all =) she's just that good.

I guess it's a compliament to her if people look at the image and think her work is just as good as a plugin.

marcu5 03-06-2004 01:23 AM

aww, look at paris. I was just watching cutie on webcam last nite

marcu5 03-06-2004 01:27 AM

It's not a plugin, but it's obviously photo-sculpting, chisel away at the photo until it looks somewhat different.

That thing can be on the market only if cheap, otherwise it's better to pay a model. Anyways it's a good work

acctman 03-06-2004 02:44 AM

Mr. Marks 03-06-2004 04:10 AM

Beautiful!

iamintricate 03-11-2004 09:05 AM

It's called a "paintover"

Turning the "layers" off and on between the fabricated image, and the original image.

It's not the most difficult, but still takes some skill. As long as the artist doesn't try to play it off like it wasn't a paintover, it's all good in my book.

Cheers to the final outcome - for that is what matters.

boris77 03-11-2004 09:09 AM

couldn't do it myself..i'm too lazy for that :winkwink:

liquidmoe 03-11-2004 10:16 AM

It wasnt redrawn, I just super imposed the two images, put the white background hand-painted image to multiply on its own layer, resized it till the proportions were exact, and all of the lines fit 100%. If its not a plugin its more work than was required. The image wasnt redrawn, it was painted over, for that you can just use a paintbrush and constantly sample the underneath color and paint over it. Very easy and quick process with a wacom tablet.

Lykos 03-11-2004 10:53 AM

That is one awesome skill!!!Look just as original:thumbsup

that takes alot of time, even though i don't have a tablet, it's still gotta be a couple hours of work.

it's not a plugin - you can use some of Photoshop's filter to help cut down some work but there's lots of manual 'painting over' to be done.

Babagirls 03-11-2004 11:03 AM

nice work! :thumbsup

hoe_vender 03-11-2004 11:07 AM
