Do you do your own taxes or use an accountant?

if you do your own, what software do you use?
if not, any suggestions for finding a good accountant that knows how to do taxes for a webmaster?

thanks

USE AN ACCOUNTANT.

Accountants do taxes and take care of your finacial reporting.

Pornographers produce porn and make lots of money.

One should not do the job of the other. :2 cents:

does your money have tits on it? Do you _have_ a lawyer who knows adult? I'd
check there if it really concerns you.

Other than that, adult is like any other business, right off what your accountant says you can get away with writing off.

do you have a business license or is
it all personal income?

Accountant... If theres a problem with my tax return, they will see my accountant, then see me if the issue can't be resolved.. The less you directly work with the IRS the better... lol

I have an investment guy that also does taxes. No way I'm going to sit and muddle through everything myself when I can be working instead, or ..... barbecuing. He does a bangup job.

It just so happens he is looking for more clients, so I will be marketing his services locally, so my taxes will be getting done for free. :D

Accountant!!!!

kelly 03-05-2004 05:45 AM

I do my own as well as the accounts for the other 3 businesses I help manage. Why not do a rough calculation of your taxes, get a few free quotes from accountancy services and if their fees are less than the tax you expect to pay hand over to them and see if they can save you more money.

Theo 03-05-2004 06:05 AM

An accountant is a must have if you are running any sort of business. I am sure there are a few business owners that are savvy enough and have the time to do there own taxes but I am sure they are the exception.

I wouldn't just pick up the yellow pages though. Ask around. I am sure you have business contacts in your area that you know. See who they use.

turbomax 03-05-2004 07:27 AM

accountant for sure

steffie 03-05-2004 07:36 AM

We use an accountant!!!

USE ONE

I would never be able to pull thru all of our stuff. We also were audited in 1999. Full audit.
Thank god for accountant..

I still owed a bunch of money this year and just wrote my last check to the IRS today.
