Chiropractors

Yo let me ask you a question.

I made a appointment with one for Friday.

Now do they usually start cracking right away on the first visit?

Fred Zeppelin 03-03-2004 11:23 PM

The good ones take x-rays first.

Stewie 03-03-2004 11:24 PM

Not always. X-rays, exam, treatment plan. The first adjustment is usually your next visit.

I got these asian chicks in my building that will sort you out

What's wrong with your back?

greentea 03-03-2004 11:27 PM

I went to one for the first time last month, i suffer from a pinched nerve in my neck.

What was done to me was an xray first, then he had me lay down and put some type of machine on my back and neck for about 10 mins, then he cracked my neck and my back.

Most take x-rays first with no adjustment on the first visit unless you are in pain.

Most will try to put you on an agressive plan desingned to line their pockets. If you're going because of an accident or injury then it's worth listening to them and following their plan.

If you're going just because you have some aches and pains or feel that it's something you want to try for better health then their 3 visit per week plan is pretty much not necessary.

I've been seeing chiropractors for years and they do help. I pulled a muscle in my back once and the doctor wanted to put me on bed rest for a week and fill me with muscle relaxers. The Chiropractor had be back at work the next day with only minor discomfort. When you work for yourself, this is important!

I agree. A good Chiropractor and an inversion table are the only things that kept me from having back surgery a few years ago (herniated disc - nothing else worked).

Make sure you choose a doctor by referrals (there are really bad ones out there), and stay away from the ones that think chiropractic heals everything from cancer to your aura color. Good luck! :thumbsup

lol j/k about 9 yrs ago i went through a windshield in a car accident. My neck is still a little bit messed up from it . Besides i am paying like 300 and change per month for the health insurance so I might as well go to it and get the most out of it.

Besides there might be hot chicks there:Graucho

cashman 03-03-2004 11:38 PM

Remember they are not really doctors, despite whatever they claim.

Depends on your situation. I had months of physical therapy, and it didn't do anything for me.
