Nice article, thanks for the link. Don't underestimate the power of Stern ;)

playa 03-02-2004 04:54 PM

people need to understand that humans have evolved and standards have changed.

I remember watching the movie "Starship Troopers" and it freaked me out when the women were taking showers with the men. Nothing sexual, they was just soldiers taking a shower.

shit like that can happen. Don't like to hear whats on the radio then turn it off.

In 20 years from now we are gonna laugh about how Janet Jackson's tit turned the nation inside out

rett11 03-02-2004 05:01 PM

12clicks will be the last Bush supporter on this board...and he will muthafuckin' proud of it!!

Of course, now that polls show that Kerry/Edwards ticket would beat Bush/Cheney by a margin of 50 percent to 42 percent (and a growing number of Republicans and independents say that won't back Bush in 2004) perhaps our long national nightmare is finally coming to an end. Unless, of course, Bush really does "hit a trifecta" and Osama "October Surprise" bin Laden is caught and paraded around the Republican National Convention; more voter roll shenanigans and Diebold glitches deliver another GOP "victory;" and a second terrorist attack leads, as Gen. Tommy Franks warned, to the suspension of the Constitution.

Nice article... that you'll never see on any major news websites...

The blind neutrality of america's major news medias will always be helping the weaker party... In that case.. the republicans and their absurd ideologies... :2 cents:

we have to think about the future man!

Axeman 03-02-2004 05:13 PM

We can use any star power we can get to make sure the Bush Admin gets ousted in November.

some of the statements quoted in there by former republicans or independents that 'votED' for bush or that supportED him in the past remind me of the voices of a LOT of people I know...

Bush is most likely now a goner.....

thank Buddah!

You have to take in consideration that those of us on messageboards that share articles with each other is such a small number of the population. I was just talking with a friend (who works long hours) about an hour ago and mentioned our primaries coming up next week and he didn't know who the candidates were. He was not aware of the FFC/Clear Channel business, although he knew about Bush's wanted Constitutional amendment.

The average person will know what's in the campaign ads. I saw on the news earlier that Kerry had taken loans against his own property to continue campaigning. How many loans do you think those backing Bush will have to take? Look at the crap most people call music because they only hear what a few media companies decide... they like it and don't even wonder if there is something better. When the propoganda spots start flowing that declare GWB a national hero the little Stepford sheep will line up and in addition to biggest budget for his ad campaign icing on the cake for Bush will be those who toss their vote indirectly to him by voting for Nader... and (since the heat has been turned up to get him) the very possible capture of Bin Laden.

Great article...

swoop 03-02-2004 07:50 PM

So Stern won't be voting for Bush and I bet all his listeners and people in this thread think they all need to go out and vote for Kerry now because HE agrees with Stern, well think again.

Senator John Kerry has refused to back Howard Stern. Kerry said "Howard Stern does have the right to say whatever he wants anywhere, but he doesn't necessarily have the right to say it on that station if the people who run the station don't want him to."

"If you are working for somebody and they have a set of rules, that's the deal," Kerry said. "And it doesn't mean he can't go out and say it somewhere if somebody else wants to have him say that."

So I guess Stern won't be voting this year??

agreed, however fortunately the people I hang out or speak with on a regular basis are well informed, and if they're not we always end up passing along info & whatnot...

and yes, for the most part, people don't know shit about politics in comparison to sports or what the exact components are of the #2 super-sized value meal at McD's...

:/

Jedimaster 03-02-2004 08:36 PM

i knew it

alecb 03-02-2004 08:40 PM

not to preach, but if you think the democrats are the lesser of two evils, i'd disagree. the democrats are highly supported by trial lawyers, non-profit organizations, and just about every union in the US. its blind to say the republicans have good purpose, its just as blind to say any democrat is sincere. oh well, so is american politics

What lies ahead the future?

Roger 03-02-2004 08:52 PM

So he didn't care about anyone else but now that he experienced the injustice of this administration, all of a sudden he changes stands? What an egocentric idiot. Better late than never I guess :)

bufferover 03-02-2004 08:59 PM

The democrats are only ahead in the polls because they have had all the attention recently with the primaries going all over the country, and because Bush hasn't spent dime one of his nearly 200 million dollar war chest of corporate campaign funds.

Kerry is in for a tough fight and if you think Bush is bad now, wait until he is in his second term and doesn't have to worry about being reelected. :2 cents:
