42" Plasma TV Contest Winner!

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say thanks to all who participated in the 42? Plasma TV contest in February and announce the winner. That being said, I won?t keep you waiting any longer. Congratulations to Pierre of WorldSex.com for sending the most new sales to NaughtyAllie.com last month, great job Pierre!

A big thanks goes out to all who helped make the contest a great success for NaughtyBank. Since my first contest went so well I?ve decided to have another just as soon as I can think of a really good prize.

I also wanted to let you know that I added 36 new hosted galleries and 12 new downloadable content zips yesterday. I now have over 120 hosted photo, movie, and webcam galleries and 48 downloadable content zips to help you promote NaughtyAllie.com: CONTENT LINKS

Several of you have requested FPA?s so I recently had a dozen of them designed. Please take a look and grab whichever ones you?d like to use: NEW FPA'S

Thanks Again, Allie

If he did not care about it then why would he have listed Allie's galleries in the top position for so long? If they were paid listings then one would not expect Pierre to have won.

No but these contests are bullshit. How in the world is the average webmaster supposed to compete against worldsex or any other big site? They can't.

I think the way to do it would be to come up with a "most improved" type of thing so that everyone can have a shot.

I don't really care anyway because I only really promote my stuff, I just get sick of seeing these bogus contests.

DUR!

Bogus in the sense that nobody except a few people has any chance at winning.

Who gives a fuck about the "average webmaster?" The "average webmaster" is a royal pain in the ass who sends little or no sales. In this world, you are rewarded for your efforts accordingly. The "average webmaster" does not win the big prizes because they can not compete with the "above average" webmasters.

Stop crying and do something to seperate yourself from the average.

In the meantime...There is plenty of free shit for you. Look at all the stuff LightSpeed has done for their "average webmasters." I did not see people bitching when they took their top affiliates out and left the poor little "average webmasters" at home.

I could go on and on about the stuff that various companies have done for the "average webmaster." The bottom line...and the thing that VERY few people in this industry have the balls to publicly state...Is that the average webmaster is a fucking idiot that sponsors feel forced to deal with in order to maintain respect from the general adult internet community...Which happens to be made up primarily of "average webmasters."

If my words have offended you or pissed you off in any way...Good! Go back and read the BOLD text part of my reply again.

If the average webmaster wants to win a contest then the prize should be average also. But sending ten joins to a program and expecting a 42" plasma TV is a bit of joke no? This isn't the lottery, its a reward for work. It would have been nice of them to make a tiered contest so the avg webmaster competed with other avg webmasters for a prize, but dont boohoo about a plasma TV.

i said the same exact thing that he said in another thread and i got told that it was a stupid idea to give adverage webmasters something

i just stay out of contest now because only people that win are people who dont need em'

Politics baby

Keep in good with the people that feed ya'

It's not politics. Politics is trying to make everybody happy.

Once again I will refer to LightSpeed. Politics, politics, and more fucking politics. Plane rides and spa treatments....For EVERYBODY who wanted it...Not just their own affiliates but many others as well. That's politics and that is a large part of the reason that LightSpeed is as sucessful as they are today.

If you appeal to the masses then you will come out on top.

Why would your words offend me? I already do my own thing and I'm quite happy about where I'm at. No need for contests or affiliates or sponsors or any of that stuff really.

But I think there is a better way to run these contests and to get better long-term results. For example, they could offer incentives to the ones that show improvements in sales or ratios or whatever. If a company told me that I could win something by improving sales by say 50% for 3 months then yeah, I might be inclined to try. If they were to say to me that I could win something by getting the most sales then I wouldn't even bother, partly because I would have no idea what that number would have to be and partly because I know that some people can just slap up a banner and get 50 sales a day.

You want an incentive to improve? Here are a couple:

1: More sales = more money.

2: If you continue to improve, perhaps one day you will win a 42" Plasma TV.

3: Create your own incentive plan. I have one. It's called retirement.

I know he's got at least one already but maybe he wanted another for his bathroom so that he doesn't miss anything while he's on the shitter! :thumbsup

Okidoki 03-03-2004 02:29 AM

Thanks Jake and Allie!

I am sure Richard and I will gonna have a long struggle who's gonna get it ;) ....and yes, we both already have one. But not bigger as somebody mentioned....

I must say the conversions and support were top notch! Some hosted galleries can get really slow when they get listed at worldsex, so therefor I can't always list them. But the naughtybank galleries were always fast, had great clean layouts and the pics & movies were of a very high quality. Plus I just got some great new ones so for the time being I'm covered!
Jake told me the retention should be really good so I am sure I am gonna make money with you for a looong time ;-)

Allie and Jake thanks for this great gift. I am sure we're gonna stare at it for the next couple of years. :thumbsup

regards
Pierre & Richard

SleazyDream 03-03-2004 02:48 AM

probally WAY cheaper for ally to contact an electronics store THERE and have pierre pick it up in the netherlands at a local store then try and ship it. - no duty like that either - duty would be killer on a large item too.

Alex Xe 03-03-2004 02:51 AM

congrats!

shermo 03-03-2004 02:53 AM

For those complaining....

Please shut the fuck up. If you worked as hard as these successful webmasters have, you'd deserve these types of prizes. Unfortunately you haven't and instead of working hard to get to the next level, you waste your time complaining about those who are at a higher level than you are. Get real. If you want to be like the big dogs, then work like they have.

I'm not a webmaster who can send 5,000 joins in a month, but I keep pushing to get to that point. Whether I do or not depends on my work ethic. People may laugh at what I make, but the point is that I'm striving to reach that next plateau.

Stop complaining, and if you really want these types of things, work your ass off for them.

Congrats to you Pierre and thanks Naughty Bank for offering these prizes to your appreciative webmasters! :thumbsup

Yes and don't forget, we don't have 110v power but 220v. So the plug wouldn't even fit. I think he would be best off buying one here and sending the bill to her.
