Picked it up last night. Was better than I expected.

Never watched it but heard it was pretty stupid.

i watched it but it was after i got back from a party so i dont remember much of it...what i do remember tho is it was pretty good :glugglug :glugglug

i saw it on saturday on on-demand TV, probably the worst fucking movie I have ever seen, I wish I could get those 2 hours of my life back

It was good, seeing Freddy stab out Jason's eyes with the claws was classic. So was the trade mark punch through the body Jason did to almost finish him off.

I liked it. I've always been into the Freddy and Jason movies.

I bought it just as a collector thing. But have been putting off watching it thinking it would be dumb. I like the old original movies though.. Think I'll check it tonight

People who watch every movie expecting it to be worthy of an Oscar nomination should be shot. I went to see the movie expecting it to be sort of...shitty. To my surprise, it was actually very entertaining. Lots better than I expected. I think I will go get the DVD today too.

its on pay per view right now.. might have to watch it. I havent watched any of them since the first ones.

If you like the orginals you will hate this movie

I agree, but some of the angles and back story in this was very good. shes cute, but that part really was lame, until she turned around and then boom, back to cool cheesy horror x men style.

I like the Batman stlye directing of Ronnie VU and although it doesnt have the 80s charm or cheesiness, it carries the modern "House ON Haunted Hill" momentum.

Nothing will top the originals but come on, I own the Nightmare on Elm box, you think all 7 Freddies are good acting?

Bela Lugosi was good horror acting, you cant expect these Clinique models to act good when all they really gotta do is swim naked, run through the woods, trip and get stabbed with a machete.

It was a pretty good flick, much better than I expected. My son loved it, until it was time for bed. Had to turn the light on for him.

I saw it in the theatres twice. I loved that movie.

Paid perfect homage to the classics.

Right in the opening scene, tits bouncing out, dark night, spooky shit, right then I knew this was gonna be good fun.

And the corny pinball scene? That was a great play on Freddy's trademark humor.

awesome movive, best one by far, i saw it on my comp while driving to winnipeg,

they made tons and tons off of it, hopefully they keep up and make them bigger productions because the fan base is there.

Perfect - you didn't miss anything. Basically they got progressively worse until this movie came out. Watch it, it's pretty cool.

I thought it was one of the best out of both series of movies.

I can't wait to see the Dawn of the Dead remake coming out this month. No chance of being as good as the original, but hopefully it's still entertaining.

And everybody needs to stop complaining about how it's not scary.
It's not supposed to be. It's a monster movie. Godzilla isn't scary either.

In 'scary' movies you are on the side of the victims.
In 'monster' movies you are on the side of the monster.
(rarely, good horror can have both, like Jeepers Creepers 1)
In these movies, people cheer for Freddy/Jason.
The kids are just props.

I thought is was below average, it was only good near the end where they finally fought.

I enjoyed both FD 1 and 2.. great gore approach.. but still...

Halloween 3 didn't even have Michael Myers. It has the old guy from Robocop and there were killer robots... wonder how they ever got the Halloween Franchise :ugone2far

One of my favorites of last year...had all the great 80's horror movie ingredients, some inventive deaths and didn't take itself too seriously (and TONS of inside references that casual fans will never get).


Fletch, good call on Bava's classic "Bay Of Blood", but let's also not forget "Dementia 13" (I just picked it up at Best Buy for $5) which featured some fun axe play ;-)

I thought the first 2 Phantasm movies were pretty cool.
