They've counted 9 explosions in Karbala so far they said. And a few in Baghdad but they don't have too much info yet.

They're showing the CNN International broadcast on regular CNN right now if anyone wants to see. Some crazy stuff so far.

apparently they didn't hear the explosions. They're just starting to realise what happened because of the ambulances coming and everything.

It seems to be much worst in Karbala than in Baghdad.

Islam is such a peaceful religion.

Is it part of the festival? or somebody detonated a bomb (small time bomb). Their partying as if nothing had happened.

With all the stuff thats happend they probably just ignore the explosions and stuff now...

perhaps the misinterpreted the old saying "lets start this party wth a bang!"
