I watched the Oscars last nite.......
 

Thought it was rather Boring, 11 Oscars for ROTK.... The Movie was Ok , but highly overrated. No way it deserved to walk away with all those prizes. There were other films that would have deserved some of the acclaim. Wonder what it cost the producers to buy all those votes? :2 cents: ?? :Graucho

Yea i watched about 5 years ago and told myself never to watch it again.

Yeah, it got very predictable. I think Mystic River was about even with LOTR for Best Picture.

Amen brother! Wish more ppl would realize how overrated it is, glad to see someone bringing it up.

The Hype machine was going full tilt on that one. I am sure they will profit very handsomely on their expenses. A few yrs ago I read somehwere the amount of extra money an Oscar is worth to the producers of a picture. Dont recall the #'s but It was not chicken feed.
