they got about 1500 servers in the bay area dc alone that i know of.

Google kicks ass. They have a ton of employee benefits and activities. I think all companies should look at that when wondering how to keep employees happy.

No. I am in a town 25 minutes NE of Atlanta.

No pics allowed. Cells phones don't work inside. The data center has biometric access boxes, and secure paths on the way to the data center.

Can't see their hardward. It is in closets. Lots of closets. Shitloads of closets. All fibre for network cable. Pure, cleaned power. Diesel generator backup. They kick in 3 secs. 12 days of fuel in storage. Two totally separate internet connections.

Engineers on staff 24/365.
