If you have 10k to spend on sigs

Would you rather spend it on 100 newbs @ 100 bucks each for a month so the whole forum, no matter where you look is filled with your sig or spend it on 1 high profile poster who maybe makes 500 posts that month.

Just wondering.

I suppose it would depend if your looking for quality exposure or quantity.

Honestly the two are the exact same thing but in different ways. I think maybe buy 10 mid range guys who are postwhores with some name recognition would be the way to go.

Is a high profile gfyer always high quality, if thats what youre aiming at?

As much as we hate the 1 word sig whores, think of it in a sponsor way, would you care if they type 1 word or 50? I know i wouldnt.

it would depend on how much the high profile poster actually posts, if the 100 newbs will do 30 posts a day for $100 a month you may get more expoosure than say 250 posts for a whole month from a high profile poster

Regular readers see everyones sigs and tend to ignore them after awhile (not like I'm clicking on any ARS banners these days:)).

Sigs are mostly going to catch casual or new readers (with the exception of a prolific poster changing their sig) so I would think having as many people posting your ad as possible would bring more signups. BUT, with that comes the risk of backlash from the regulars of the board. If that's not important to you, you'll probably do well, but if it is you should consider going with fewer high paid.:2 cents:
