It's great that same sex couples are now allowed to marry. They SHOULD NOT however be allowed to have children. The majority of these kids are going to be brought up in a life of misery and hell. Sure the parents are obviously caring and perhaps even more so than normal parents but the simple fact is these kids are not going to have a normal life.

Am I the only one who expected the twin girls referred to in the topic to be adults, and naked? :disgust

I tend to disagree that they won't have a 'normal life' - what is normal? How many of you had a 'normal life'? I worked for a gay man, who had a partner and they partnered up with a lesbian couple. One of the men and one of the women partnered up to have a child - they live in the same building - so seeing his parents full-time is not a problem. The boy is about 15 now, brought up in private schools - with dedicated parents, who both have partners that don't resent the 'other parent'. It's all a matter of love and respect and savoir vivre.

Kids will taunt them? Yes, so do the posters on GFY about everyone's heterosexual parents here - you learn to thicken your skin.

That's my view anyway - you don't have to agree. Who the hell are we to judge who should have children? I'd rather have gay couples having children than PEDs...that's for fucking sure!!!

I believe the courts are more interested in the kids go to a couple (Family) than a single person. As long as they have no criminal history involving kids - and have jobs $$$ to raise them - why not a gay couple?? In the courts eyes - they are the same as a str8 couple.

fair enough. i respect your opinion. i did say however in my post that of course as with most things there are exceptions to the rule and the case that you posted is obviously one that worked well. we are talking about children having same sex parents though which is a whole different scenario.

the people saying that the kids wouldn't have a 'normal' life are the same dickheads who would make fun of them in school. give me a freakin' break people...live and let live, it's much easier. :)

I think its nice. Those children will probably grow up with two breadwinners in the family, that love each other. In my opinion thats way, way, better than a single mother on welfare. Sure, it may not be most ideal situation in the world, but its far better than many have. Kids may make fun of them in school, but if I remember correctly, kids make fun of everything in school. Also, by the time they are school age, it will probably be much more commonplace to see same sex couples and familes, therefore lowering the mock factor.

It's gotten to the point now where gays in many high schools can be out and even have an out of the closet boyfriend. That was not the case just 5 years ago. Such people would have been abused daily.
