p4 3ghz, 800mhz FSB, 512mb ram, 80gb hdd, radeon 9800pro 128mb - wont run it fast but should run it.

Buy a better 3d video card, like a geforce FX 5900 or a ATI RADEON 9600/9800 XT (those are pretty expensive).
I recommend you also to have 1gb in memory RAM because it seems than Doom III is gonna to eat a lot of CPU resources.

It´s pretty good, you are going to run it quite smoothly

as far as only playing games on xbox. well some games you really need a mouse and a high res screen.. im sure the xbox version will be watered down a bit due to the slow ass cpu on it..

BTW XBOX is only goof for Xbox Media Center!! well that and Mame emulator..
