Give it a fucking rest... I would be considered left wing.... but some of the people have this annoying uppity attitude like "EVERYONE else is a sheep, I'm extreamly enlightened, and my bickering/flaming on GFY will change the world"

The worst are the non americans who KNOW SO MUCH about what goes on in our country that thier opion is worth repeating over and over again. They are usually the ones to start the arguments.

I've been called libertarian, leftist, nazi, conservative, liberal, far-righter, rightist, and even communist, and I don't care. No ONE "alignment" has it all, and most thinking people stand for different things that they consider to be good, no matter which "alignment" used it first.

Down with the party system! Give us real democracy.

I voted Libertarian - Economic Right although I'd put myself more in the middle with regard to ecomomics. I enjoy some of the benefits of a capitalist society, but I also think there has to be a balance in terms of the welfare state, and checks and balances for chequebook democracy.

yeah but unfortunately unless you want to live in a cave in the hills, other peoples' politics ARE going to affect you.

Thats a very shallow way to look at it. The "politics of others" in your country have an effect on your life, whether you like it or not.

I'm interested if any authoritians even visit this board, becasue of its subject matter.
