It's pretty damn high for sure, although most people probably get weeded out at the part time stage.

Under a year. I think the longer you stay the more you can make... I felt like leaving many times but giving up is a stupid way out.

I would guess its quite high, but as long as there is free hosts, free content, free galleries, there will be a ton of weekend warriors that have no reason to go. Its all bonus money to them.

If I had to take a guess, i'd say there's a SHIT LOAD of people that come in and give this a quick try thinking they'll make it rich. After a few months they realize it's not gonna happen and they just kick back and do this super part time for the extra $200 it'll make.

If you really think about it, for your averge Joe, running a tgp for an extra $200 a month is pretty good. Basically it's an extra bill or two getting paid each month from a little hobby project site. And there's THOUSANDS of people like that making beer money with there "hobby" porn sites.

Bottom line is "Do this as a hobby and you make hobby money, do this as a full time business and make REAL money".

Most people can't grow out of the hobby level for whatever reasons....

True you got a good point there. Many just keep it as a part time hobby for a few extra $$$ per month .

The co-relation between the time you put in and the money you earn is not linear.

2x time input can make you more than 2x $$$, thats the beauty of it.

Buzzard and I decided we'd quit when it stopped being fun.. he did it for 6 yrs.. I'm on the 7th now.. guess I'm still having fun ;)

Hobby level here, any money it makes is just extra money to buy toys with :) I like having steady income, and just dont feel the desire to risk everything and do this full time.

Not smart enough to leave.
