What software is best...

I would like to do some cartoons myself such as those on: kinkydwarf.com

What software is best and what input devise is best (i.e. mouse, pen and pad).

Please tell me what is best???

What I use for Kinkydwarf:

I draw everything on my animation table and with animation paper and with Colerase pencils..... (I got used to it since I'm a former animator)

I ink with simple Pilot drawing pens 0.1 0.2 and 0.5..

And I color with photoshop...

i use illustrator purely to do mine, and make jpgs or gifs in photoshop
