Domain trasfer Question

I am trying to transfer some domains to namecheap.com and they say'

"We will be able to initiate the transfer only after receiving the
EPP Code. To avoid delay, please update the information as
soon as possible"

The company that I am moving them from will not answer my email request for the codes. Whats my next step?

did you try calling them?

KaLi 02-27-2004 07:25 PM

Ive never had that happen with namecheap.. But yeah try calling support.

NameCheap is the company that the names are going to, I have talked to them. They say they need the EPP from the other company that has no support number.

The compnay that they are at now is ReserveMe.com aka DomainProcessor.com

You probably try to transfer .us, .cn domains that requuire EPP code.

As the registrar that is currently holds your domain to give you EPP code and provide the registrar where you want to transfer your domain to with this code.

It's for protection, instead of "registrar lock" feature that .us, .cn and such domains don't have.

Yes, they are .us names. The company DomainProcessor.com does not reply to my emails asking for the codes.

Search their site, may be they have a special code request form.
They are the only ones who have the code(s).

They probably are safely assuming that your request of that code is a step towards moving the domain.

Try sending them an email titled "need to contact someone about buying more domains..."

You may fair better. :)

If you ever want to contact someone about cancelling a service, hit the prompt for "you are a new customer looking for our service" and you usually get put right through. :)
