I would say MJ, but he missed a full 3 1/2 seasons which would have made him the best. even though he won 6 titles I still say Bird.

IPK 02-27-2004 01:14 PM

you mean it isn't MJ? i thought he was the obvious answer

Strife 02-27-2004 01:15 PM

Larry Bird & Magic were great but there's no doubt that MJ was the best player of all time

okny 02-27-2004 01:15 PM

Wilt Chamberlain.

But I will get a lot of silly arguements from people who never saw him play.

Wilt was a machine on and off the court ;-) He was also one of the best college players ever!!! Larry Bird was amazing and even though I'm not a fan of MJ, he was freakin amazing!!!

Bill Russell

when he played for the Celtics they won the championship 9 out of 10 years during the sixties... and he owned Wilt :)

rett11 02-27-2004 01:45 PM

Jordan...more titles, more clutch shots.

Pistol Pete was great indeed..as was Wilt and ofcourse DR J!!

if i had to choose between players who still play today i'd say

ALLEN FUCKING IVERSON

the small guy is hard as a nail..to bet the rest of the team sucks

Ramster 02-27-2004 02:03 PM

Jordan, hands down. He would have more MVPs but they felt sorry for other guys having "good" years. So he only got 6.

Wilt was awesome, no doubt. And Bill Russell could have been had he played more but when the Celtics were winning so often he didn't play as often as Wilt from I remember people saying.

Brunomtl 02-27-2004 02:05 PM

Bruno B from www.brunob.com is obviously the worlds best basketball player

Mike LEC 02-27-2004 02:06 PM

Questions like these are so hard to answer.
Different eras, different players different games.

To answer this question I ask myself this:

If it was game 7 of the championship, 5 seconds left, who would you want to have the ball?

The answer is Jordan.

His creativity and ability to react instantaneously put him above such greats as Bird, Wilt, Magic etc.....

The one stat that still blows me away in the nba and will never be broken is Oscar Robertsons average of a triple double over an entire season. This alone should put him into consideration yet he never gets mentioned.

Lakers Over psitons in 6.

He was great as well but he was 2 inches taller then any player at that time so he had an advantage over everyone. He also fucked 20,000 females

Ic3m4nZ 02-27-2004 02:57 PM

LeBron James will be the best player ever :thumbsup

Jordan with the Bulls was by far and away not only the best NBA player ever, but the best athlete in the sport. In addition to his own accomplishments, he not only had to keep Rodman in line, motivate the rest of his time, help Pippin build his numbers and worked for that tiny salary (yes I know he was making a fortune in endorsements, that's not the point) so the team could spend to fill in the gaps and become a truly dominant force in the NBA.

Tell me really, does anyone ever see Kobe or Shaq doing something like that? Fuck no. Maybe Tim Duncan or Karl Malone, but there aren't many in the league today who have that kind of drive, ambition and will to win with a smile on their face.

Vic Lagina 02-27-2004 03:02 PM

Jordan...no question about it.

Chris E 02-27-2004 03:07 PM

I'm British and Iw ould say Jordan.

sickkittens 02-27-2004 03:10 PM

Bill Russell never received enough credit.

Russell, Wilt, MJ, Bird, Oscar Robertson
