We are going to run into a War Powers issue soon. By law, soldiers aren't required to serve so long without a Declaration of War. There are comabt troops that have been in the region on a war footing for over 18 months.

Last I checked military service in this country was voluntary. So what you are telling me is that these guys enlisted and made a concious decision to serve their country. I did 8 years and yes I joined for the college fund and benefits but I also knew there would be a chance that I would be called upon to fight for my country of which I did and I have no regrets.
