I find it amazing that most parents will walk in on their kids watching Reservoir Dogs or something of that nature and not bat an eye, but god forbid their kids see a video of people having sex.

If you want to give your daughter some real sex ed lessons, I can send her my little brother to demonstate. Just say the word as the horney bugger is ready to roll

Curiosity is fine. I highly doubt that you would be able to stop her from indulging herself in a bit of it, even if you tried. Besides, the more you try to repress your kids, the more they end up rebelling and doing just what you don't want them to do. Preacher's daughter syndrome. Just make sure she understands that it's okay to watch the videos, NOT okay to go experiment.

Either that or lock her in her room until she's forty.

I'm female and I watched porn when I was in jr high around 13 or 14, and I turned out fine. I bet all kids saw some graphic stuff already around that age. I was smart enough to never get caught though. Just ignore it, and pretend it never happened.

Also, don't ever make it seem to your daughter that "sex is bad" or "masturbation is bad". My mom was like that when I was younger, she always emphasized that "sex is dirty" and she still made me close my eyes at lame love scenes on prime time tv (not even cable, just people kissing and making out!) when I was 16-17 yrs old. Don't have double standards when raising your kids, female sexuality is normal. You don't want a daughter to think that sex is dirty and to be ashamed of her body.

We still aren't close to this day and I still cannot talk to her about ANYTHING at all, let alone sex.

Kids will have ISSUES later in life if they are always brought up to believe that "sex is bad". That goes for daughters too!! Sex is normal and healthy. I think it's not healthy for parents to always make it seem like such a bad thing, like my mom did.

At the moment I walked in on her and noticed what she was doing I'd ask her to pause it for a minute. Then I'd tell her that I'm not mad at her and completely understand her curiousity... that I did the same thing at her age.

I'd tell her "If you have anything you want to talk to me about I'm here to listen...".

Then I'd leave the room (keeping that whole part above short and sweet). On the way out I'd say something (in a laughing sort of way) to the effect of: "if that video's any good you should do a report on it for school". Or something similarly light hearted.

Just don't make her feel bad about it. Make her feel like you are always a safe person to talk to...

If it were up to me there would be no "18 and over" age, (don't call me a pedophile, I don't mean for being in the porn, I only mean seeing what it's like, 18 and over for being naked and/or in porn is good).
