So how the fuck can we get Stern back on in Miami?
Will it be a matter of a smaller company broadcasting on their network?
Lots of ad revenue to be made there... Don't think Clear Channel will cave...they are doing it to make a point...they can afford to take a small hit financially... So the question is, how fast can another station pick up Howard? |
stern will be picked right up. any company would be foolish not too. his show is gauranteeeeeeeeeeed income in ads
|
Sorry, thanks to the FCC... Clear Channel owns every radio station near you!
|
I wrote a letter to the CEO of Clear Channel today and told him I was selling all my Clear Channel stock and took the station here that used to run Howard's show, 105.9 off my pre-selects!
I also told him he was a fucking idiot catering to the demands of the ultra right conservatives. And I CC'd it to their entire board of directors. :thumbsup |
I'm in Deerfield Beach which is North Broward. I wonder if I moved to Boca (two mins away) if I would get Stern consider its a different county? Or does Clear Channel own West Palm as well?
|
stern wasnt fired, he was suspended.
clear channel said they will wait and see if stern cleans up his act. i seriously doubt clear channel will fire stern, too much money is at hand ie; A) to pay him off if they fire him B) to be made keeping him im in s fla too and it sucks without stern. |
Vote for someone other than Bush.
|
Like Bill Maher got bumped from ABC to HBO Howard will be able to take his audience to satellite radio or cable if Infinity (which owns the stations he's on that Clear Channel doesn't own) decides to bow into pressure.

once they see their advertising revenue drop, they'll put him back on soon enough.
