anyone here can explain me what a freesite is and how it works?

Its a site you do for the SE traffic. Mostly consist of two gallerys, a mainpage and a frontpage (warningpage).

It's not about SE traffic, it's about link list traffic.. !

SE traffic can be added up after... when SE spider will get it..

Freesites are hard to get traffic on, unless you have a large network of them interlinked into a hub.

IMO, freesites are dying, the signups are just not enough to compensate for the time spent on creating them.

Who cares about conversions, all that matters is the number of sales.

I'd take a 1:500 with 5 sales on a TGP gallery, rather than 1:2 with 2 sales with a freesite.

how did you know it was green guys site if you couldn't get to it? no one said it was green guys site. and if you knew about green guy why would you have to ask what a free site was?

basically what everyone has said... you submit them to linklists like wetplace , greenguy, jays, etc.... then traffic comes flowing.

well you could say that tgps, galleries and so on are all dying. its all oversaturated. but for some reason it all goes on.

I already have my placement in SE anyways, I'm just saying, there are better things to do SEO with instead of a freesite.
