My Labrador is male but pees like a girl - Is he gay?
 

He does hump a lot at the dog park too and it does not matter if the victim is a boy or a girl dog.

i had a sheep dog that used to squat instead of lift his leg...doctor said it was lazyness...and the thing is that he lifted if you took him to the park around other dogs but if you let him out back he could not be bothered

could be. my basset hound is 8 months old and still pees like a girl. The odd part is, dogs like to piss as high as they can on things. It makes them more superior. If a dog comes up on a fence and smells piss at his eye level, he knows not to fuck with the dog that pissed there.

No, your dog is not gay, some dogs just always squat, no big deal.

Also, humping is not about sex unless there is a bitch in heat. In dog world, humping is about superiority....being top dog. So your little man is telling the world he is top dog and he is lord over everyone...and if there is a girl in heat, she is reserved for him. So this is why male dogs hump, letting the other male dogs know that they are alpha.

I've got a male yellow lab as well, and he's a year and a half old, still pees like a girl. My vet told me some larger breeds pee this way male or female because they are so tall. dont worry if hes a puppy or not 1 year old yet,then no worries... hell eventually figure it out.. took my dog till he was 6months old to piss normal.. now he pisses on EVERYTHING!

the "humping" is a display of dominance.
unless there's penetration, he's not trying to have sex;
he's trying to tell the other dog "you're my bitch".

if he's humping people, you might have a problem.
not just because it's socially awkward, but because
if he thinks he's alpha over your family/friends then
someone may eventually get bit when they sit in
the wrong chair or try to take something from him.

re: "peeing like a girl". He's not.
He's peeing like a puppy. If you've had him neutered in time,
hopefully he won't start lifting his leg to 'mark' territory.
