paypal cc payments

does anybody know how to setup a paypal account to where an account can accept credit card payments not forcing the user to signup for the service?

okny 02-26-2004 10:50 AM

So you want to pay someone with a cc through paypal without signup for a paypal account? I doubt that will be possible but you can call them direct and find out.

I found this on another board and just wanted to know if anyone had anymore information on this.

"I got an email from PayPal and they are now accepting credit card payment, and you don't have to sign up to be a member. It's already up on one of my sites. A buyer gets a choice - go through PayPal, or use a regular credit card right there, just like on other ecommerce sites. "

I hate Paypal, those asses are putting me through the ringer with chargebacks that shouldn't even be chargebacks for my mainstream site.

Too friggen many people are figuring out that if the transaction occurs on the Internet, Paypal as well as Visa will grant you your chargeback no matter what.

Example: Customer pays $140 bucks. The package is sent via FedEx. Tracking confirms receipt and she is the person that signed for the package. Three days after receiving the package she claims "not receipt of goods". Paypal contacts me, give them the tracking information and her signature even appears online where she signed for the package.

Paypal "investigates". Their investigation concluded that my tracking information was not sufficient enough to prove that she received the package.

Uhm, what MORE could I provide? Am I supposed to fly there, deliver it personally with witnesses in front of a lawyer who can then give me legal documentation?

Enough to make me pull my hair out!!!

BeaverPay (allresell.com) uses the same cheap ass bluepay ripoff script that the rest of the cheesey paypal wannabe's are using, its hackable and half the time doesn't work, how do I know? I was a sucker and bought the script which I run on www.epaycomm.com now, its a POS!!!!

Try YowCow, they have a good system and they can't stand paypal:)

Moneybookers allows instant CC processing as welll... but not for adult. For adult they need an account.

PayPal doesn't control chargebacks. Only the banks control that. PayPal can only control refunds. Signing for the package is not proof according to the credit card companies. The only proof that they will actually accept is signing the receipt in person with credit card in hand.

I'm just letting you know that your venting at the wrong company. PayPal doesn't control chargebacks or if they are reversed. Yell at the credit card companies instead.

You cannot sell on eBay without PayPal unless you want to lose 90% of your customers. You just need to do everything right and ship within 48 hours of payment. If you are receiving an average of $100.00 a day and all of a sudden start receiving $1000.00 payments, PayPal will limit your account and ask you for tracking numbers of a few of the high dollar payments. If you cannot provide these tracking numbers, your fucked. If your going to do things that will raise red flags, be sure all your contact information is correct and you have proper documentation to back things up.

In regards to chargebacks, that's the way of life. Your best bet would be to contact the custumer directly and threaten to send their account a third party collection agency which will illiminate the chance of them ever getting a mortgage. Tell them if you cannot get it that way, then you will have your associate in their state take them to court

Also, do not use PayPal for adult or anything against their policy. If you follow their terms and conditions, you most likely would not get screwed over by them. I have had my account limited several times for many reasons but nothing within the past year.
