Selling you sig
What's the deal with this sig selling ordeal?
When someone says they got $X amount for their sig, is that a one time deal, or a contract to post for a certain amount of time? |
Usually its like renting a billboard.
|
usually monthly
|
every month
|
you negotiate a price for your sig space for a month.

Look all you have to do is post over 80 times a day.
Content of your posts???, obviously, most just dont care. |
What's troubling about the sigwhoring thing is
what if some enterprising webmasters work out deal with a sponsor for premium $$$ to promote them for a month for many posts. Then these webmasters hire $5 subs or aos or other outsource guys to post for 10 cents each and you pocket the difference. Lazy bastards just sit back and watch the bling hit their epassporte acct.:BangBang: |

You wont have to worry about that

If a sig is any good, why rent it out?:helpme
|
I don't post a lot (but try to instead be relevant--it's relevancy and quality versus quantity; I want to contribute, not satisfy a numbers quota), so what's the upside of a monthly pay-out/sig fee for a porn guy like me (for something extremely ethical and above board) ????
Thanks--check me out at www.davecummings.com Dave |

Besides just renting the sig, it could be like hiring a networker...Someone who becomes known within a community, and is seen as a source. These are the sigs that are worth money it would seem. If you just sit around the house and post bs messsages all day, what is the benefit? maybe a little exposure, but how much? how much is board whoring worth, and can anyone do it? or is it just for established individuals?
