AdultWebGraphics 02-25-2004 03:44 PM

I dont really want to discuss it here but I need the very best for my wife :)

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-25-2004 03:44 PM

There is this dude in the Philipeans, he does a ritual or somthing and he pulls the cancer out with his bare hands.

I saw it in a movie with Jim Carrey.

In truth I wish I could tell ya, its a sad thing to fight I've seen a fe family members and friends die of various sorts of cancer:(

I wish you luck and tis very sad to hear, however there are alot of good dr's out there and often cancer can be fought and won.

genomega 02-25-2004 03:46 PM

Some doctors are better then others depending on the type of cancer.

Dr. Ronald Hempling was one of the top notch docs at Rowell Park Cancer institute several years back. He saved my mothers life when she had less then a 20% chance of survival. Shes still alive today because of him. He is in York PA right now.

What state are you in?

Stewie 02-25-2004 04:16 PM

You may want to contact your local Hospice office or medical university - they will know the top cancer centers in your area and outward. Best of luck!

Two of the finest.

The type of cancer your wife has usually determines which hospital or learning hospital or clinic you should research.

I'm sorry. I know this is a tough one.

Thanks for the info, Im in Wa state but that doesnt matter as we will go anywhere.

She is only 25 years old and we just had a baby 9 months ago and also a 6 year old so this shit is scary.

My sister did Montefiore medical center in the Bronx on some trial for advanced melanoma. The doctors beofre she went there told her she had 6-8 months and she made it 13 years. Came back and she wasn't so luck the second time.

Best of luck.

RATBOY 02-25-2004 05:09 PM

The University of Washington Medical Center have some of the best doctors in the world locally. If I had cancer that's where I would go, but definitely keep searching.

We're in Washington State, too.

Try calling Harborview and ask them to recommend.

AND....you've got UDUB....call them. They are a teaching institution...AND..you have Shemp....if anyone knows, he does.

Shok 02-25-2004 05:13 PM

I saw a show recently were they are using flamitobide (sp?) for cancer now with great success, actually incredible success.

Just don't get pregnant while on the treatment.

Having had Leukemia, i know what its like to try to get the very best team of Doctors you can possibly afford. Different cancers require different treatments, so really, a center specializing in advanced Melanoma would be the best way to go.

There's also

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Washington State. Not sure where it is, though.
