I don't know. I just grabbed it off someone else. I really like what they're doing. I'll probably switch it out to something else next week too. So, you don't have to click my sig or anything. Click someone else's so they can get credit for it, but DO check out the program. I think they're making some good moves and adding a lot of flexibility and control to the webmasters that didn't exist before.

on your submit page, since its a webmaster banner but you have to get your url approved first.

The WM Referral Program was NOT developed with "Sig Whores" in mind. ARS and WM boards will be monitoring the use and activity of those that use the per impression and per click model. If it is abused we will not allow it as a signature and if individuals make pointless posts to get views we'll terminate their ability to use the WM Referral Program. That in mind, boards will have a similar outlook. We didn't create this program to dilute the content of message boards... Our initial thoughts was to use it for Link List / TGP Submission Pages, smaller resource sites as well as larger webmaster watering holes.

I think that is fair warning to everybody! Play nice!

Marc De 02-25-2004 11:57 AM

One last thing - don't think of the ARS RI WM Ref Program as a pay per post. That is ABSOLUTELY not the case!!

Okay, I didn't get this "fair warning" until right now. So don't look at any of my posts prior to this one. :Graucho

cosis 02-25-2004 12:50 PM

I plan to put the banner on my TGP webmaster page, I have a feeling the sig program will not last an awful long time - Even an honest webmaster like me was tempted to give two word posts until I read your warning Marc, I am sure a lot of webmasters will not see it

marc, your fuckin troops have over took this board. look around for yourself

in all honesty, i think this makes a company look bad. you dont have to force feed me a new program. i can notice it and decide for myself

Manowar 02-25-2004 02:04 PM

Dont worry, all the sig whores will be using it by next week and it will shut down before the end of march because everyone will have signed up and be putting it in their sig

Should have put more thought into that one, you're going to be paying 20 times for every page view GFY threads get. :2 cents:

Is ARS a top banner sponsor on GFY? If not, you might want to suggest that people using your banner abide by the sig rules of the board they're posting on.
