Giorgio_Xo 02-25-2004 02:28 PM

Seems so!

cosis 02-25-2004 02:28 PM

how can you only pay webmasters $10? How much are they charging?

EvilToyBoy 02-25-2004 02:29 PM

Hey Lensman,

They are not as real as some :Graucho

sig people :321GFY

StuartD 02-25-2004 02:30 PM

I would think that verifying the authenticity would be required BEFORE the ad spot is sold to them.... otherwise, past mistakes could be repeated.

I think Lens is smarter than that :glugglug

Lens, it's the real deal.

The only thing that isn't real is when people promote it without giving it.

And for the haters who think their payout sucks, keep it mind it's a pay per download model and not a paysite affiliate model. Most pay per download models pay out 20%. With that in mind, you make more with this particular pay per download since it is $50 per load, you make 20%. It's actually a fair deal when you compare apples to apples.

Name all of the advertisers that GFY verified their authenticity.

And how exactly would you do it?

Why is anyone who thinks it's a raw deal immediately a "Hater" ? Lets be real D$. Who has a 20% download model to compare this one to ? You said "most", and honestly I don't know of any offhand.

How is it a fair deal to earn $10 on a $50 sale ? I don't know how or else I wouldn't ask.

Not all people who make comments about pricing are haters, just some of them.

And to answer your question, AEBN pays out 20% with their model.

"You receive 20% commission every time someone makes a purchase on your site, this is recurring commission for the life of that customer."

http://aebn.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=main.customtheater

Why is everyone so against this model? No ones says anything to AEBN. Interesting.

D-Money 02-25-2004 04:14 PM

it's also listed on this page

http://aebn.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=main.payperview

better yet, show me pay per view models that pay out what webmasters are asking for (better deals then 20%).

Or even 50/50 models. Or $25 to $35 per download.

I haven't seen any, maybe they exist, but I haven't seen them.

One thing immediately obvious is that AEBN has over 20,000 titles and numerous premium paysites. A customer is much more likely to view several times than to reload a 5-viewing $50 charge for the exact same video. What else is there to make 20% ( $10 ) from except a 6th time rerun ?

Go to XPays and learn.

They have tons of sites to convert with.

Also consider, this is for targeted Paris Hilton or celeb type of traffic. Bottom line, give it a shot if you have that kind of traffic. Not trying to take anything away from AEBN. It's not a competition. AEBN rocks, love them. I'm just saying it's not the worst structure like others are posting. It's fair if you consider the model they are using.

D$, they pay 20% on 1 thing. Regardless of anything else Xpays might have that you can make money on, the 20% recurring is for how many times 1 customer will pay $50 to watch the same thing 5x over and over again.

If I was blockbuster, send me a customer to rent Wild Orchid. Everytime that customer rents that same movie I'll give you $1 as I pocket $5. Imagine how wealthy you will be when this customer rents the same movie 100 times! You'll make $100. How is that a deal ?

Agreed, so look at it this way. You still get paid every time it rebills for more views. If it were $10 per viewing, you'd only make $2 and pray that they bill again for another viewing. It's like buying the views in bulk. 5 views for $50 instead of 1 view for $10. The reseller makes money lifetime on the account should they rebill. And if they are offered an exit console, you also get paid on it.

We agree on the same things.
