i bought a Vaio (3 or 4?) years ago when they first came out, 450MHZ processor i believe.
liked the machine, hated that i could only buy Sony components and periphs for it......as they are expensive and didn't offer many extras at the time. they might offer more now, but check into that before you buy it. :winkwink: |
I'm on one now that I bought two years ago and I love it. I do all of my work on it and reserve another computer for just video editing.
|
man, that looks sweet greentea
|
I HAD one.... The screen was for shit... sent it to sony 6 times and they said it was normal... yet the ones in the stores looked perfect. I ended up getting a refund and buying a Toshiba :thumbsup
|
Aah I love the VAIO's, so slim and stylish. Hmm, your even has a 16.1 inch tft, kick ass! :thumbsup
|
I bought one about 3 years ago. I don't know if those models all sucked, or if I just got a lemon, but I have had lots of problems with it.

I looked at buying a Vaio. It simply was too expensive for the purposes I needed a laptop for. I will only use it a few times per year when I am at conventions or on holiday.
I bought the Dell Inspiro 5100. Got it on Monday and I love it. Only used it for 10 minutes but I still love it anyway :) |
:thumbsup :thumbsup Go for it! You can't go wrong with a VAIO. I just got the GRT260G and it's smokin!

- Define a business machine. The Alienware systems depending on choice configurations have the best parts for the strong media head. AlienWare systems are built for advanced 3D Modeling and also focus in video editing. "And anyone that pays $3-4k for a computer to play video games on is a dumbass. " - Any State of the art system not infused with cheap parts will fall in that price range. On another note the gaming industry is huge, so intensely huge you have no idea and for intense gamers 3-4K is well worth the investment for entertainment. Basically what your saying in similarity is why would anyone buy porn? Porn is an activity for dumbasses... Truth is people buy what they can afford or in some cases can not afford however knowing competitive or better options is better then compulsively buying by word of mouth. So... Sony Vaio is awesome have no doubts but many parts in those systems are proprietary, while Alienware systems are fabricated with state of the art parts that conform to standards. Not to mention the Lifetime guarantee's AlienWare offers on there PC's. So before ya open your pie hole do a little more reading on Products and try and give an honest evaluation. Sure both systems are expensive but appearently when having a budget of 3-4K one oughtah look at whats out there and understand their options. In my opinion SONY does not compare to AlienWare PC's. AlienWare smokes SONY systems and have the Guts inside to prove it. |
Configured an outstanding LapTop system on AlienWare as they allow you to customise your order with complete detail of what your needs are.
