WHEN YOU DIE-a funeral directors story

Did anyone ever think about what really happens to your body after you die? Well, let me tell you FIRST hand that it really isn't pleasant.

I will admit that I have been volunteering at a funeral home for some time now, and have performed THOUSANDS of embalmings and seen hundereds of autopsied cases come onto my table. Its not all what you may think! There are a LOT of sick-o's in the funeral business...Necropheliacs (fucking dead corpese), but majority of people in that chosen profession are just average JOE's.

They tell us to "TREAT THE PEOPLE AS IF THEY WERE ALIVE"..but I have two pieces of advice for you: ONE-when you die, request to be creamated (unless it is against your religion or culture). TWO-donate ANY and ALL possible organs. After you die, you may be able to save someone elses life! Besides, no one really knows for a fact if you feel anything after your body is dead, but I know one thing for certain...If you are planning to be buried in the ground, the casket collapses within a few hours of the dirt being piled back on top of it. Think of how much 6 feet worth of dirt weighs..?

Just something to think about!

:feels-hot

This is one of the reason many juridictions require the use of concrete "vaults" around the casket.

i heard they have some sort of pysch test they make you take before you can work in one..or maybe thatis just to be a mortuary? is that the right word?

SlickCash Sarah 02-24-2004 01:44 PM

You do need to be under psychiatric evaluation before becoming a licensed funeral director..Mortuary is just an old fashioned term(not widely used) for a funeral home. The program you need to take to become a funeral director is Mortuary science!
