Thumbs up for ARS !

Ok, the payout is lower, the niche sites are gone etc etc...

But many ppl fail to realize that their new revshare program is great, since it is paying on cross sales ( and rebills from these cross sales ) and I am not aware of the existence of any other program that pays on that. :thumbsup

it would have been nice to have more notice... they should have fucking told us a long time ago.

And now to get your ars points, you HAVE to signup to their new program and send a signup within 30 days or they take those.... what the fuck is that all about other than another attempt to pilage us.... the people who made them rich.

bleh....

Daymare, ARS does not want to take those hard earned points away from you or anyone else. We are trying to get some of the webmasters who used to send traffic on a regular basis, back to the program and this seems like a fair attempt to get that done. All it takes is 1 sale within the next 30 days and you can redeem your Reward Points for almost anything you want beginning on 5/1/04. We are totally rebuilding the ARS Rewards Store and making it a complete product of it's own....it should be very robust. I know you have me on icq, hit me up if you want to and we can talk some more. I hope you check us out & get in touch:thumbsup

fanboi? Nah - I think he just wanted to point out a VERY good piece of our partnership program.

We give you 100% console control, we give you 60% of all initial and rebilling sign ups on both the main site AND the x sell. We also pay 60% with no bullshit hidden fees like processing, chargebacks or refunds.

Basically you get:

$3 on a trial
$18 on monthly
$18 for every rebill (customer lifetime)
$0.60 on the x sell initial
$12 on every x sell rebill (lifetime of customer)

I don't know how that isn't a good deal :)

WebDork 02-24-2004 10:55 PM

I like the idea that they now have a shitload of legacy search engine traffic they dont have to pay for :D

Takes shaving to a whole new level :)

flashfire 02-24-2004 10:57 PM

the lack of niche sites still sucks...I'm not sending them anymore traffic

IPK 02-24-2004 11:07 PM

i'm going to give them a chance, i've been with them for so long

Royaltee_Gee 02-24-2004 11:10 PM

YA a bit more notice would have been nice, but ARS is as honest as they come... And some of the best and smartest business moves I've ever seen made on the net.

ARS changes with times and that's what you gota do to keep making money..

fvurakki 02-24-2004 11:11 PM

What exactly are you referencing? Where did we say you wouldn't get paid for old links? Existing linking codes are either being sent to our PPC SE where you'll be PPC or being sent to one of the ARS 4 Real sites, your clicks are not being "taken" as you like to put it.

Paying partners on cross sales is nothing new..

oh yeah, what happened to those, i'm sure they'll come out with a few

My impression of ARSRI as it stands today, is that if a newcomer launched something similar, lots of promise and promises but very little in the here and now, the program would be dismissed out of hand.

Which raises the question as to what is not being said about the almost indecent haste to switch over. Why the rush to abandon a program that with all its evident flaws could surely have lasted a little longer, until the new one was fully fleshed out? That in turn makes me wonder how much pressure there was to produce something, anything new, instead of there being the time to plan thoroughly and objectively.

At the moment there are far too many unknowns for me to join the cheerleaders. But by the same token it's also too soon to join the critics. So far it isn't looking like what I was hoping for when Marc first posted here a while back, but I don't think there is enough hard information yet to make a judgement one way or the other.

Hosted galleries are up. 3 galleries for each episode. Right now there are 10 episodes per site, with lots more to come.

Just a quick reminder to everyone sending traffic to the new ars4real sites. Check sales are still on a 2 week lag. Meaning you wont see your check sale in your stats until 2 weeks from the initial signup date.

what is the retention with adult sites these days? isn't it like 3 months or something, but i'm not really sure, but if the new sites have a lot of good content, i guess we'll have to see

i think i saw an option to tour the content pages within the admin section, i guess i'll check it out
